Alondra’s Journey at Desert De Oro

When Alondra Seja first considered joining Desert De Oro Foods (DDO), it wasn’t just a career move — it was a decision influenced by years of observing a company that genuinely cared for its people. Her boyfriend Jonathan had worked for DDO for nearly a decade, rising through the ranks thanks to supportive leadership and consistent opportunities. Watching his success, Alondra knew she wanted to be part of the same organization.

Inspired to Join, Ready to Grow

Two years ago, Alondra made the leap, applying the quick-service restaurant (QSR) skills she’d gained elsewhere to a Taco Bell in Texas. “Right away my Area Coach started pushing me to do more,” she explains. “They started training me … it was super easy for me to adapt and continue my growth.”

Embracing the DDO culture, Alondra soon moved from Texas to Arizona, became a Market Training Manager (MTM), and got the chance to help transform teams and stores. Central to Alondra’s success is the strong culture she fosters in her restaurants. “Just creating that relationship, that culture within the restaurant — employees now want to do better for themselves and for me,” she notes.

Building Trust, Achieving Goals

The DDO approach to leadership goes well beyond checklists and metrics. It’s about creating a collaborative environment where team members feel valued, respected and informed. By fostering this kind of culture, Alondra and her team met their targets in 2024 — and then some.

Their collective dedication earned her a spot on DDO’s inaugural Cabo trip.

“It wasn’t just me, it was a team effort,” she emphasizes. “By creating that bond, making sure we’re hitting our goals and making employees feel appreciated, we were able to achieve this trip.”

For Alondra, the opportunity to enjoy a luxurious getaway was proof that hard work, team unity and open-minded leadership reap real benefits.

Looking ahead, Alondra envisions many paths. She might become an Area Coach, join the corporate office or delve deeper into the business side of the industry. In any scenario, she trusts DDO’s support. For Alondra, it’s not just about a title; it’s about a culture that lifts everyone higher.
