We recently caught up with Desert De Oro Foods (DDO) Area Coach (AC) Tyson Gilmore to learn more about our latest Glendale, AZ Taco Bell opening.
Tyson is a Taco Bell veteran, having been with the brand for 26 years, eight of which have been spent with us here at DDO.
Despite being a seasoned pro of the quick-service scene, however, this was actually Tyson’s first time leading a new restaurant opening. He’s led remodels, managed restaurants, served as an Above Store Leader (ASL) and trained team members, so he definitely brought a versatile skillset to the job! Tyson proved to be the right person to navigate an opening accompanied by unexpected challenges.
Every project of this scale presents its own unique challenges. In the case of our newest Glendale Taco Bell, construction for a separate development on the corner delayed our restaurant opening and continues to make parking lot access tricky for guests. But rest assured, we’ll stop at nothing to bring delicious food to our loyal Taco Bell fans!
According to Tyson, the Glendale crew has navigated the process with impressive professionalism. “The team has great energy and [the] desire to be successful,” Tyson says. “They’ve done a fantastic job delivering on guest and company expectations.”
