If Area Coach (AC) Bryce Carroll looks familiar, it’s probably because he’s no stranger to being featured on our blog. Now he’s back celebrating another promotion — his fourth in the nearly four years he’s worked with us! This role may be his most adventurous yet, because it requires a move from Texas to New England.
“I made it known that I was always open to relocation to advance my career,” Bryce shares. “When the opportunity came, I applied and was chosen as one of the two new Area Coaches for Region 9.”
Bryce looks forward to his latest opportunity, and relishes the chance to work with a new team. He says his favorite part about the job is seeing the next generation of managers succeed within the company.

A Seasoned Pro
There are four reasons Bryce is looking forward to moving to the East Coast: winter, spring, summer and fall!
“I’m a very outdoorsy person and having the opportunity to enjoy four seasons again is
really exciting,” he shares.
This six-year Texas resident is also hoping for a white Christmas!
While Bryce is embracing the adventure, he admits there are things he will miss. “I’ve gained so many friends from work that it’s going to be different to move,” he shares. “But they all support me and are looking forward to seeing me grow.”
Perhaps Bryce and friends will have a chance to reunite in Mexico! Bryce is a two-time Estrellas de Oro award trip winner. “It took the whole team working together to be able to accomplish this goal,” he stresses. While he’ll attend the reward trip solo this year, you’re never really alone with DDO. “We’re all like an extended family, so it will feel like a family reunion: full of fun and excitement,” he says.
Finding Strength Amidst Struggle
Bryce admits that he used to struggle with learning how to ask for help, but has since recognized it as a strength, not a weakness.
“Working with everyone and having great mentors, I’ve learned that I can always reach out to others in the company for help,” he says.
That culture of support also manifests in the form of training access.
“They give us the tools we need to do our jobs to the best of our ability,” he shares of DDO’s commitment to its restaurant leaders. “Everyone is always there to share best practices to ensure your success.”

For now, Bryce is content focusing on the AC role for the next two years, but he has a future goal in mind — the Regional Director position. This hard working leader never stops learning!
