Once a year we get this AWESOME opportunity to celebrate a group of thoughtful, ambitious students setting out to bring their passions to life. This is thanks to the generosity of the Taco Bell Foundation. We’re proud to announce that we have six first-time Live Más Scholarship winners this year from the Desert De Oro Foods (DDO) Taco Bell family!
Sophia Garcia of Norwood, MA, landed the Foundation’s top-tier $25,000 award to support her aspirations of becoming a speech pathologist and working with kids. Sophia became inspired to follow this path after witnessing the struggles of a toddler with autism. “Finding speech pathology was something that I never expected [but] it’s something that is a blessing,” she shares.

Our scholars share one beautiful thing in common: All are determined to make this world a better place. Jihad McMillan from our Pony Express Parkway location in Eagle Mountain, UT, believes higher education is the key to getting him out of his bubble, so he can learn new perspectives and contribute to the greater good. This, while taking a deep dive into several passions: photography, film, the study of people and history. And now he’s got $10,000 in Live Más support!
