For two years now, Anthony Martinez — Line Cook at Desert de Oro (DDO)’s Casa Grande, AZ Pizza Hut — has taken all of these duties in stride. For Anthony, his responsibilities never feel like too much, because he genuinely loves what he does.
“It’s pretty awesome making pizzas every day!” he says enthusiastically, sharing that the dish has always been one of his all-time favorites.

Anthony couldn’t be more grateful that he chose to take his next career step with DDO. Before starting as a Pizza Hut Cook, he worked for another quick service franchisee, where he says the opportunities weren’t nearly as plentiful.
“It’s pretty amazing, the difference,” he shares. “Desert de Oro Foods and their managers are great.”

From Pizza To Pet Care
Passionate about animals, Anthony has dreams of becoming a veterinary assistant. He shares that the educational support Pizza Hut offers our team members will help him make this dream a reality. No matter what, the confidence he’s gained while working at DDO will certainly serve him well in whatever path he decides to take next.
“[Desert de Oro] has pushed me to become a better person,” he shares. “Different ways of learning, better communication — these are the skills I’ve learned working with customers and other people.”
