We’re delighted to share this year’s recipient of the Wallie Jaso Growing People Award, Karol Mendiola! Karol is our Region 5 Training Leader — we surprised her with news of the award while she was enjoying her incredibly deserved place at our annual Estrellas de Oro reward trip in Cabo, Mexico.
The Wallie Jaso Award represents strength of character, care for people and positivity in leadership.
This namesake award, only in its second year, was created as a tribute to a former Training Coach of ours who passed away in 2023. Its focus is character and collaboration, and being a part of the solution while helping others.
“I know Wallie for a long time,” Karol shared during our interview. “I really do miss her.”
Karol gushes with gratitude about being selected. To her, and many others within the company, Wallie was simply amazing. “For me, getting the award, I feel so special,” she says.
“She always tried to help you to do better, to grow. I wanna be like her.”
