Bianca Sandoval-Nagy is an Area Coach (AC) for Area 41 at Desert De Oro (DDO) and oversees three Taco Bell locations in San Antonio, TX. She’s stayed busy during the four years she’s been with us! Bianca started as a Restaurant General Manager (RGM) before being promoted to Restaurant Training Coach (RTC). As an AC, some of the people Bianca coaches were trainers she helped develop when she was an RTC! In DDO, Bianca has found the structure and culture she craved.
Inspired by her father, who was a food service supervisor in the Marine Corps, Bianca trained in culinary arts and has a degree from San Diego Mesa College. Most recently, Bianca was one of nine people accepted into the Accelerating Growth – Enterprise Expansion Program through YUM! Brands and the University of Louisville. The program helps participants develop the skills necessary to run and grow a large franchise business. Bianca discovered this development program while seeking out opportunities for growth on MyTacoBell.com.
HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS
Bianca is a self-described “military brat” and attributes much of her passion for family and hard work to her upbringing. Her journey started in Hawaii, where she was born. She’s also lived in San Diego, CA and Japan! While many might find frequently moving around difficult, Bianca thrived with the ever-changing settings, people, food and experiences. Travel is “in her blood.” She believes that everyone can benefit from experiencing other cultures and places.
Fortunately, Bianca is able to combine her love of food and meeting new people in her role with Taco Bell! One benefit of the job Bianca particularly enjoys is receiving thanks from guests and team members alike. She gets pleasure in creating connections, and says that a simple “thank you” can go a long way. Appreciation and recognition for a job well done is always reassuring.
Bianca juggles work and home life with equal energy and enthusiasm. She lives with her parents and two children: A five year-old and eight month-old. Although Bianca is an only child, she has 23 first cousins on her father’s side, so there’s never a dull moment! “Me time” looks like watching a Raiders game or listening to Leonard Skynyrd, the Beatles and Stevie Nicks like the old soul she is.
ADVENTURE IS CALLING
Never one to stop learning, Bianca hopes to one day get her Bachelor of Science in business. And never one to stop traveling, she has a personal goal to visit every Disney park in the world and venture to New York City this holiday season. Seeing Bianca’s progress is like binge-watching a show — and we’re ready to see what the next episode has to offer! Will it be travel, a promotion or something else? Stay tuned … you can bet there’s more to come!
