When you meet Jenn Nolan, the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) of our North Dartmouth, MA Taco Bell, it’s impossible not to be drawn in by her energy. Jenn’s big personality, infectious sense of humor and genuine care for others set the tone for everything she does — both inside and outside the restaurant.
Jenn embodies true leadership with her kindness and passion for developing others.
Jenn approaches her work with empathy, humor and a deep desire to help others grow. She’s the person people come to for advice. And while she admits she can sometimes crack an unexpected joke or make a quirky comment, she believes that kindness and laughter have a ripple effect.
“You never know what kind of day someone is having,” Jenn says. “Spreading kindness can change more than just one person’s mood — it can shift an entire environment.”
Family Roots & Life Lessons
Jenn grew up as the oldest of three siblings in a family of five. Her strong work ethic was shaped early, inspired by her father’s example and her mother’s dedication to juggling multiple jobs in order to provide for the family.
But, Jenn didn’t actually set out to build a career with Taco Bell. Her story began back in 1994, when she joined the brand after high school while attending college part-time to become an elementary school teacher. Life took an unexpected turn in 1998 when she became a mother. As Jenn balanced work, family, and personal growth, her role at Taco Bell began to evolve right alongside her.
The journey from team member to RGM wasn’t overnight. It took years of learning, confidence-building and perseverance. In 2020 — just before the COVID-19 pandemic — Jenn stepped into the RGM role, embracing challenge with the same resilience that has defined her path. Now, she’s setting her sights on the next step: becoming an MTM(Market Training Manager), where she can tap into her lifelong passion for teaching and developing others.
Leading by Example
At the North Dartmouth Taco Bell, Jenn goes beyond the expected coaching and development. She focuses on building people up, both professionally and personally. From teaching life skills to helping her team find their confidence, Jenn embodies what true leadership looks like.
And her success speaks volumes! She’s turned around two restaurant locations, earned Restaurantof The Year and raised her daughter along the way. Despite all of these accomplishments, Jenn admits that accepting compliments has never come easily. But over time, she’s learned to recognize her own potential and the impact she’s made on others.
Now, as she prepares to take the next step toward MTM training, Jenn is eager to continue teaching, inspiring and helping others discover what they’re capable of.
Jenn may not have planned a lifelong career at Taco Bell, but our company — and her team — are better for it! Her passion, energy, and heart shine in everything she does, and her journey is a reminder that sometimes, the best careers are the ones that find us.
