Our Pizza Hut team recently hosted its first Pizza Hut Day at the Boys & Girls Club Harry & Sandy Rosenzweig Branch in Phoenix, creating a fun-filled afternoon for nearly 100 club members. This marks the beginning of an exciting initiative, with plans to bring Pizza Hut Days to other Boys & Girls Club locations across Arizona.
The event was a true team effort. Beth Vanderheyden, Anthony Copeland, and Matt Simpson from the marketing team helped organize the day. Scott Price, RGM Diana Rutenber and team ensured everyone was well-fed, while Mark High played a key role in making the day a success. Diana, who helped make the pizzas for the event, has a special connection to the club—she was once a member here!
Throughout the day, the kids rotated through various stations, all centered around Pizza Hut. They participated in a coloring contest where they were asked, “How does pizza make the world a better place?” They also took on pizza trivia challenges and enjoyed carnival games like “Pin the Pizza on the Slice,” “Balance the Pizza Box on Your Head,” and “Toss the Pizza in the Pan.” Some of the teens even got to wear our signature pizza slice mascot.
It was a fantastic day of fun, food, and community connection. We look forward to hosting more Pizza Hut Days at other Boys & Girls Clubs across the state!
