For Restaurant General Manager (RGM) Trevon Wright, the sky’s the limit! As RGM of our Taco Bell Cantina in Phoenix, AZ, Trevon’s Taco Bell journey began at just 16 years old in Dallas, TX. After relocating to Arizona in 2022, he joined the Desert de Oro Foods (DDO) family, earning his promotion to RGM in December 2024.
Learning to Lead
Born in Milwaukee, WI, raised in Chicago, IL, and shaped by stops in Texas and Arizona, Trevon isn’t afraid of change. Recently, he took that mindset on the road, supporting our Taco Bell team at Crescent Street in Brockton, MA. His coaching and leadership helped that restaurant earn an impressive CORE score (an audit that evaluates food safety compliance and operational standards) – a huge win! Despite language barriers, Trevon and the team found their stride by setting clear expectations and leaning into strong teamwork.
Coming from a large family with 11 siblings, Trevon learned leadership early, cooking meals by age nine and caring for others along the way. Inspired by his mother, who runs a daycare, Trevon leads with heart and often asks one powerful question: What do you need to be great?
Goal Getter
Trevon believes in reflection, listening and people-first leadership — values he says DDO has helped strengthen. Outside of work, you’ll find him enjoying R&B music (Lauryn Hill is a favorite), dancing, hiking, and soaking in the stunning sunrise and sunset views Arizona has to offer. One day, he hopes to travel to Dubai and dine high above the city at the famed restaurant, Dinner in the Sky.
With goals of homeownership, a future training role and even an inspirational mental health podcast on the horizon, Trevon is always moving forward. He’s grateful for the growth and people-focused culture at DDO, and we’re grateful to have him on the team!
